Additionally, a chiropractic assistant is a healthcare employee who supports a licensed chiropractor by performing administrative and clinical duties. Chiropractic assistants work under supervision to help ensure their office cares for patients’ neuromusculoskeletal systems. Chiropractic assistants must have good communication skills and an understanding of computer programs, filing methods, and medical paperwork. They need to be team players to achieve common organizational goals and make an effective impression to ensure a good client base. While a chiropractic assistant’s duties may vary depending on the needs of their offices, they often have the following responsibilities:

Medium of Delivery ( Online + Clinical Internship):
While most of the theoretical topics are covered online, some clinical supervisions are required at their employment place. This means that their practicum shall follow at their workplace (if they’re employed.) If the applicant is not employed, the practicum will be referred to a clinic near his/ her residence.
A chiropractic assistant certification verifies a person’s ability to support a chiropractor by performing administrative and clinical duties. The most common industry certification is the Certified Chiropractic Clinical Assistant (CCCA) through the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards (FCLB). Like other professional certifications, the CCCA requires candidates to meet eligibility requirements, gain work experience, pass a test and pursue continuing education.
The theory program will take Two to Three years to complete, along with one month of supervised clinical assignments, generally managed by a licensed Chiropractor.
Once completed, the National Board Exam certifies candidates as Certified Chiropractic Assistants in Canada & the USA. In some states (the USA,) additional examinations might be required.
Admissions
Prerequisites:
High School Diploma plus Two Years of College Studies.
IELTS General 6.5 (For non-English Speakers)
State or Provincial Background Check
Passing a Virtual Interview.
Background/ Education in Healthcare or a related Science.
Technical/ Computer Knowledge (Microsoft Office/ Online Education)
. Some states require certification through completion of an examination under the state’s Chiropractic Examiners Board.

- Perform and document measurements for both Passive and Active Cervical and Lumbar R.O.M. using a goniometer.
- Recognize equipment used to perform examinations.
- Perform Vitals (height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration) using professional boundaries, patient privacy, and safe and hygienic procedures.
- Identify normal findings as well as variant and abnormal vital sign findings. Recognize patient apprehension.

- Assist with patient education and home health care devices, application and monitoring of home care or referral compliance.
- Identify indications and contraindications for each type of therapy.
- Document therapy properly.

- Therapeutic Exercises include stretches and strengthening exercises for the cervical, thoracic and lumbar regions of the spine.
- Rehabilitation techniques. Understand The Concepts of Postural Conditions. Explore phasic and postural muscles. Learn how to perform and instruct patients on ball exercises that address specific postural conditions.
- Neuromuscular reeducation- Learn how to perform post-isometric relaxation stretching and instruct patients on balance board exercises.
